OPENING JUNE 20TH

For the first show of the 2026 season, the gallery is pleased to present UNSETTLED featuring solo presentations of work by Emily Hass and John Winship, in conversation with a shifting installation of gallery artists. 

Opening Reception: June 20th, 5 - 7 pm

Show Run Dates: June 20th - July 18th

Hass uses found objects as an anchor for her shapeshifting geometric forms. They live on old paper, tide-washed wood, tin cans, and sailcloth. Hass’ deep interest in displacement is a throughline in this grouping of new and familiar work, including selections from her Exiles and Water Shapes series.

The subject of Winship’s paintings are derived from found snapshots.  He renders enigmatic figures in thick atmospheres of acrylic paint, leaving a borrowed sense of nostalgia and a slight uneasiness. 

Leaning into the unsettled nature of our current world and the infinite transience of time, Hass and Winship bring us an opportunity for closer examination of both psychological and physical distance.
